Script Editor

Studio Features

The Script Editor is where dialogue is reviewed, edited, and refined. Scripts in Fixtion are structured into beats rather than long passages of text.

Working with Beats

Each beat represents a short segment of dialogue with a specific purpose. In the Script Editor, you can edit dialogue directly, regenerate individual beats, lock beats you want to preserve, and reorder or remove beats. Changes are localized and predictable.

Regenerating Safely

Regeneration happens at the beat level. This ensures other beats remain unchanged, timing stays consistent, and structure is preserved. Locked beats are never overwritten.

Editing Philosophy

The Script Editor is built for iteration. You are encouraged to make small adjustments, test variations, and refine tone incrementally. Large rewrites are rarely necessary.

Core Principle

Editing should improve clarity without introducing instability.
